Welcome to our Teen Counseling Workshop Center! We look forward to building a professional working relationship while meeting group counseling needs of special population/at-risk teens.
We conduct on-site Weight Management or Crisis Intervention workshops for teen girls for non-profit and for-profit organizations throughout Dallas, Texas.
We serve all denominations. Our weight management programs, as well as our teen forum counseling sessions for girls addresses each teen individually, getting to the root of the problem. Our mission is 1 Timothy 1:5 - "The goal of our instruction, love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."
Our Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor and Certified Personal Trainer receiving certification through The Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research in Dallas, Texas. Thelma is dedicated to helping each teen discover their unique potential – academically, socially, spiritually, and interpersonally.
Our counselor, Thelma J. McCoy, has several years experience in the corporate world; owned and operated an accredited child care center, and developed health and fitness programs for teens and families. Thelma is a former foster mom and a mother of three. She is a member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas; served in the Counseling Ministry from 2004 to 2009 and currently mentors teen girls in The "TurnAround Agenda" Mentorship Program in the DISD area. Thelma volunteers with Big Brother Big Sister, Brighter Tomorrows Shelter and Teen Contact in Dallas, Texas. She is also a board member of the Education Committee in Duncanville and is actively involved in PTA. Thelma is a founding member of the Rotary Club of Cedar Hill, Texas, a member of the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce, National Christian Counselors Association, as well as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Thelma is the author of Healthy Eating and Workout Program for Families and Teens Taking Responsibility (Series 1 and 2).
Thelma is President of A Gift for Heaven, Inc. which is an upcoming teen shelter for girls. Thelma enjoys working with non-profit and for profit organizations alike.
